Development of new sensors using photoreceptors of photosynthetic microbes, May 14, 2019, 20190528

We learnt a lot on biology and mechanisms of photosensors in cyanobacteria, and how these receptors can be manipulated to generate new molecules for optogenetics. Thank you Dr. Narikawa for wonderful and exciting lecture.

This prize is to encourage leadig female scientists at Tohoku University toward world class leaders.

Dr. Ochiai is working on gene regulation in B cell activation and plasma cell differentiation, and her discoveries in the past few years and efforts in education are recognized as one of the recipients of this award for the fiscal year 20018.
